The coffees we grow, the coffees we choose.
Some Yumgaafe coffees begin in our own fields. Others come from producers we trust. Every bag starts with a simple promise: the coffee must belong to the world Emma is building.
Yumgaafe’s own production is the work of Matheus Antonaci, Diego Bermudez, and Xue Song together. Matheus and Diego were former partners at Finca El Paraíso in Colombia and later founded Hachi Project, a company known for pushing coffee production into new territory through research, processing, and a willingness to rethink what coffee could become.
With Song, that work opened a new chapter in Yunnan.
The goal was never to copy Colombia into China, or to turn coffee into a technical lecture. It was to bring years of producer experience, roasting experience, research, and origin relationships into a quieter kind of product: coffee that can carry feeling.
Some lots come from our own processing work. Some come from a network of producers met through years of travel, experimentation, and collaboration. What connects them is not a single farm or a single country. It is selection.
We choose coffees for the worlds they can become.
A coffee with warmth and depth may enter Cocoa Grove. A coffee with brightness and joy may become Strawberry Field. A coffee with softness may belong to Vanilla Nutwood. A coffee with hidden complexity may carry the shadow of the Forgotten Tree.
Yumgaafe is built from this balance: production and imagination, trusted sourcing and story, technical knowledge made gentle enough to feel.
Emma does not ask where a coffee ranks.
She asks where it wants to take us.
