Short story
Emma and the Quiet Nut Grove
In a peaceful corner of Yumgaafe, Emma found closed nut shells nestled among the roots of old trees.
They could not be forced open.
Only when she let go of her impatience and listened quietly did they begin to yield.
When the shells finally opened, what waited inside was warm and tender. A delicate fragrance drifted through the woods: soft, refined, and sweet with vanilla.
Some joys never announce themselves loudly.
They wait in stillness, hidden from hurry, until the right person is quiet enough to find them.
